About the survey

Why are we doing this?

Our goal is to be able to show a true snapshot of our industry, building a clear picture of the design industry in our region.

Through this survey we aim to highlight both the areas that we are excelling at, as well as where there is scope for improvement.

What’s in the survey?

Questions have been chosen to provide a workable set of data that gives businesses and employees alike a true understanding of where we are.

Key areas of the survey include gender, ethnicity, salary, role, skills and sectors and outside work activities.

What are the benefits?

We believe that the results are valuable to anyone working with or for the creative industry in the West Midlands.

Birmingham Design is about supporting the region’s creative community. Having real data of how talented we are, what sectors we support and the value that we bring helps us celebrate our achievements.

Together we can build a better and more inclusive space for everyone.
