The annual survey is our attempt to document the ever-changing design scene in the West Midlands.
Over the next few years we hope to discover what makes the region tick, offering valuable insight for those living in working in the local industry and how we can improve it.

A look back at previous years results and findings.
In April 2020 we launched our first survey of the creative industry in the West Midlands and many creatives kindly responded to our call to take part. A big thank you if you did take part, your answers will help to reflect and shape the future of design in the region.
Why are we doing this?
Our goal is to be able to show a true snapshot of our industry, building a clear picture of the design industry in our region.
Through this survey we aim to highlight both the areas that we are excelling at, as well as where there is scope for improvement.
What’s in the survey?
Questions have been chosen to provide a workable set of data that gives businesses and employees alike a true understanding of where we are.
Key areas of the survey include gender, ethnicity, salary, role, skills and sectors and outside work activities.
What are the benefits?
We believe that the results are valuable to anyone working with or for the creative industry in the West Midlands.
