I’ve always had a passion for design. From a young age there was always that sense of excitement when I heard the two words ‘design something’ for a school task, be it in English, ICT or Geography. I became consciously aware of this passion whilst studying Media Studies at GCSE where I was given more in-depth design tasks that included magazines and album covers. Obviously, back then there was no knowledge or strategy for me in how designs were done; it was pure aesthetics. But, over time, I began to learn and love the ‘how it works side’ of design which is really important.

Fast forward 10 years I am Creative problem solver, BA Hons Junior Designer with a big passion for Advertising & Branding and great enthusiasm for creativity as a whole. I am particularly interested in working with brands that have an ethically driven mission and want to have a social impact on society.

I have worked on projects ‘No face no hate’ a campaign where physical appearances are stereotyped. My concept for this campaign was to place paper bags over people’s heads to hide features that might prompt judgement. ‘No face no hate’ recieved particular recognition through ‘New designers selects’ exhibition and Bima beat creative council.

I have also completed a Branding project on bringing people together through Food and Biophilia named ‘Food forest’ and finally a zine/branding project that aims showcase images copy that really cuts through on humanity and saving the planet in ‘Reevolve’.

‘If a craftsman wants to do good work, he must first sharpen his tools’ This a quote I live by, constantly taking courses to improve my craft and knowledge on design.’

To sum things up I am a enthusiatic curious creative who loves working with people who want to make a change (be it big or small) with their brand, have ethical values and respect the design process. I want to create design for ‘projects that matter’ and for brands that are seen as more ‘for the people’.

Outside of being creative my curiousity has not only lead to me compete in sports with a past of playing competitive football and competing in Athletics. It has given me the fun experience of Sports coaching at schools and working as a trainer in the fitness industry. I also love going on adventures and have managed to this through skiing, hiking and mountain biking. Watching/reading educational content is also a strong interest, knowledge is power.
