I’m UU, a multidisciplinary designer, illustrator and installation artist from Hong Kong. ‘UU’ is my nickname and an expression of my creations – it is not only a symbol of double happiness (ÜÜ), but also a bridge to connect people and individuals.

The main theme of my work centres on ‘nature’, as I believe it is a universal and inclusive subject permeating all cultures, languages, lifestyles and beliefs. I like to enquire into the association and juxtaposition between the natural world and human-made inventions in the creative process of researching, designing and making.

My projects employ a diverse range of media and materials to convey concepts to the audience. I’m fond of working on community-based engagement projects and running workshops, and I also enjoy collaborations with cultural organisations and corporate groups that promote arts. My precious clients include Aesop, New Balance, Marc Jacobs, TUMI, 9GAG, Design Trust and M+ Museum.
